HI have been intervening in Yemen on and off for the last 12 years, with its actions initially focused on development issues. Since 2015, HI interventions have been adapted to the current context of conflict in the country.
In parallel, HI implements inclusive humanitarian action, by increasingly piloting inclusive interventions and promoting disability inclusive coordination and programming.
HI activities are very consolidated in Sana’a governorate, Aden, which opened in 2019, and Mokha, which started implementing in 2020. Activities in Hajjah and have been launched in 2021, and Hodeida in 2022.

DESCRIPTION DE POSTE :

We are currently looking or our future Country Logistics Manager.
Reporting to the Country Director, and in collaboration with the country coordination services, the Country Logistics Manager overses the implementation of a logistics framework tailored and organized around an efficient supply chain, and strong logistics support at the mission level. The Country Logistics Manager will also be committed to the management, respect, compliance and efficient implementation of all related policies, rules, procedures and good practices at coordination level. You will support the wider mission with logistics related technical management upon request. The Country Logistics Manager line-manages the mission logistics team.

Responsibilities:
• Responsibility 1 is focused on operational strategy, including drafting, revising, and implementing strategies within their scope of responsibility. This includes managing risks, updating risk maps, proposing risk mitigation measures, contributing to incident reporting, producing and analyzing dashboard data, and representing the organization externally on logistics matters.
• Responsibility 2 involves ensuring the respect and application of organizational standards within the logistics sector. This includes adapting and contextualizing standards to local characteristics, overseeing internal control, and ensuring compliance with institutional donor rules.
• Responsibility 3 is centered around operational logistics management. This includes conducting a context analysis, analyzing the logistical context of projects and the North-East hub, evaluating available resources, planning logistics chains, contributing to project timelines, defining resource and budget impacts, and coordinating supply planning.
• Responsibility 4 involves leading the professional development of the logistics sector both within their scope and for the organization as a whole. This includes contributing to the global professional development of the sector, developing local talent, conducting technical interviews, and identifying and organizing training needs.
• Responsibility 5 focuses on providing appropriate support to emergency responses within their geographical scope. This includes analyzing program capacity and team readiness, identifying preparedness measures, mobilizing and adapting the department and its processes, and strengthening external coordination.
• Responsibility 6 pertains to assuming the role of a manager with regards to their staff. This includes fostering teamwork and a team spirit, contributing to staff professional development, providing recognition, developing staff autonomy, embodying and transmitting the organization's values, and ensuring adherence to the organization's code of conduct and policies.

PROFIL ATTENDU :

• You have bachelor’s degree in related field, or High school degree + 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• You have More than 4 years working experience as logistic coordinator / logistic manager in humanitarian programs.
• You are solutions-oriented, flexible and able to manage stress and to work in multicultural and multi-disciplinary team,
• You can adapt to a very new context,
• You speak English. Arabic is a plus.

• Salary from 2869€ gross/month upon experience
• Perdiem: 627,76€ net/month - paid in the field
• Hardship: 500€ net/month paid with your salary
• Paid leaves: 25 days per year
• R&R: 7 days every 8 weeks
• Position: unaccompanied
• Housing: Individual taken in charge by HI
